A friend (actually a few friends) told me, “You should create a Substack of your book reviews.” Which I thought, “Aw, damn, thanks guys! That’s hella sweet."
People (besides my mom) want to read my silly book reviews.” But quickly I learned it was really because no one could read them when I posted them to my IG stories.
But, like LITERALLY CAN’T read them. The font size was described to me as “size 3.” Or as one friend confessed, “My phone is full of photos of my boyfriend, our dog, and screen grabs of your reviews so I can zoom in on them to read them better.”
Like damn. My bad.
So here I am, writing my first post on Substack. But it ain’t a book review. And here’s the deal, I already have a blog; the new blog on the block. And I love that blog. I LOVE that tiny corner of the internet. Can’t I just post there?!
Or…
Is everyone here now?! Like, is everyone at the Substack party instead and this is just easier for y’all?
